Six Sunday: A Special Place in Hell (NOBODY'S ANGEL)

Here's another excerpt from my Sept. 30 release, NOBODY'S ANGEL. (This is book 2 in the RESCUE ME series. Scroll down for information on purchasing MASTERS AT ARMS, a must-read introduction to the series before you move on to the romances.)

OR comment below (WITH YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS!) for a chance to win a free copy of NOBODY'S ANGEL (and MASTERS AT ARMS, as well, if you don't have that one yet)!  Winner announced here Monday, Sept. 19, (after 6 p.m. Eastern US time).

Setup:

Angelina is on the cell phone talking with her mother and sitting between Master Marc's legs on the edge of her bed. He is...distracting her, because he knows he only has his toy to play with a short while longer and can't keep his hands off her. Okay, and he's a bit diabolical, as well.

He slid his right hand down over her mons, his fingers slipping between the folds to encircle her clit. “Oh, yesss! I mean, yes, I will, Mama.” She tried to elbow him away. “Love you, too. Bye.”
She disconnected the call and stood up, spinning around to glare down at him, her teeth gritted. “There’s a special place in hell for a man who would seduce a woman while she’s talking to her mama.”
“Oh, I assure you, il diavolo long ago reserved a special place for me, bella, for sins far worse than that one.”

  1. Very hot! Sometimes slipping in words from another language sounds gimmicky or contrived, but you make it work very well. I like it.

  4. Don't forget e-mail addresses, everyone, so you can have a chance at getting a free copy!

Cara, Master Marc spent his early years in Lombardy, Italy. He hasn't lost the mother tongue. But I do try to make sure whatever he is saying is clear in context. Am NOT going to do a glossary! :)

And thanks, everybody, for loving my Masters at Arms Doms and their stories! Now back to finishing this one!

  6. I officially hate SSS!! It needs to be like Sixty Sentence Sunday. With only six, you barely get your whistle wet before you're done!

  8. I heard through the buzz line about this book but wondered if another version of the same same o storyline was coming. Surprise Surprise. This tease of an introducation for a series had me celebrating that finally someone is going outside the box. Can't wait for more.

  10. But this gives readers a chance to read so many blogs and books to see which ones they want, Riane! Of course, it can be torture when they're really compelling. (And, of course, I'm a big tease, so I try to make mine so. )

Mrs. Z--I tried to e-mail you, but it bounced. Can you e-mail me at kallypsomasters@gmail.com?

Thanks, all, for the incredible support! Now back to Marc I go! Angelina's upset. :(

  11. “Oh, yesss! I mean, yes, I will, Mama." To my thinking, "Oh, yesss!" is a disconnect with her subsequent remonstration. Even if she finds the contact pleasurable, wouldn't "Oh, noooo!" be more in keeping with her remarks after she hangs up? Also it sets up "I mean, yes, I will, Mama."

  12. LMAO, what a great way to take away someone's concentration. Awesome Six!

  13. Thanks, Ken, but actually, she's in the middle of answering her mother in the affirmative--she just didn't mean to put that much enthusiasm into her "Oh, yes." (Telling her Mama she WILL be at the family dinner the next Sunday, even though she's missing this one.)

  15. For the longest time after reading this six Sue sat staring at the screen. As a growl worked its way up her throat she shook her head, stood up, and thought "holy shit - he is finally getting under my skin!"

  16. Oh, Sue, I still remember that "MM" slip. He's been under your skin for a while now. You just don't want to admit it! And, the "new" Marc has gotten under my skin, too! So damned noble it's killing me (and him, and Angelina)! Now to see how this is all going to turn out!

  25. Kally, I figured it out!! I cannot wait to get back into this series. I will have to reread Masters again just to keep me going!! I love ALL of these men, but Master Marc is my favoirte sine my husband was a Navy Corpsman that spent a lot of time with the Marines. You could say I have a soft spot for him! Love your words.....

  44. the "rescue me" series is on my must own new series list. The prequel was so much more than most I've read. It actually game me more than a fluff teasing submission to entice me to buy the next release. I await Master Marc. (but secretly am holding out for Damien's story).
