Six Sunday: Eyes on Me

Here's another Six from the recently released Nobody's Hero (Rescue Me #3), Adam and Karla's romance. Karla has been summoned to Master Adam's office and is kneeling on a mat by his desk, awaiting his orders.

“Strip.”

She was still wearing his terrycloth robe, because, oddly enough, her Master’s scent in the fabric had given her some much-needed courage. But she slipped it off her shoulders and let it puddle around her knees and legs at his command.

“If I don’t want you to look at me, I’ll blindfold you. Eyes on me.”

Ka-thunk.

  1. Um, what the hell fell? Crap I hope she didn't faint! She doesn't seem like the type...

  2. Damn Kally, another great six! Absolute power, but what was the ka-thunk?

  3. Sorry--I should add the next line. (My readers first saw Karla's tummy ka-thunk in Masters at Arms when Master Damian was interviewing her for the singing job. Now she only ka-thunks for Master Adam.)

Oops--I'm on the wrong computer. BRB

  4. ... actually I didn't have to explain ka-thunk in THIS scene. But here's what followed an early ka-thunk with Master Adam in Nobody's Hero:

The sensation of having her stomach drop into her pelvis caused her heart rate to speed up. His commanding voice definitely excited her. She lifted her gaze to meet his.

  8. I can absolutely relate to the smelling of clothes. I've sniffed my husband's daily since the day he left. lol It helps.

  10. I don't think it's so odd that she gained courage from his scent. Seems like a natural response. Thanks for sharing!
