Six Sunday: Apologize to the Lady (NOBODY'S ANGEL)

For this week's Six Sentence Sunday, I just looked at where I was in the editing of NOBODY'S ANGEL and found this scene. We're in Angelina's point of view at daVinci's neighborhood bar. This is one month after Allen (Sir Asshole, as Master Marc calls him) put her in deep subspace when he ignored her safe word during a flogging scene at the Masters at Arms club. 

When her now ex-boyfriend Allen shows up at the bar with his new girlfriend, Angelina enlisted the help of Marc D'Alessio (whom she doesn't recognize him as her rescuer from the club) and his SAR partner, Luke Denton. Tired of trying to get her alone, Allen approaches her table when Luke and Angelina are seated. Marc has just returned to the booth.

She's worried that a fight is going to break out in her friend's bar, what with all the testosterone surrounding her at the moment. Angelina speaks the first line.

“Marc…”

Allen looked down at her. “If I’d known you were into threesomes, Angie…”

She winced, but before she could form a response, Marc’s hand snaked out and grabbed him by the throat. 

“You’re going to apologize to the lady, and then you’re going to get your sorry ass back to your date, or I’m going to mess up that face you seem so fond of.” His voice remained calm, but lethal.

Six Sunday: New Beginning for NOBODY'S ANGEL (Adam & Karla)

I began rewriting NOBODY'S ANGEL this week, the second novel in the RESCUE ME series (due to be released on Amazon and Smashwords late September). This is Master Marc's romance.

However, Master Adam is on the minds of many of my readers since MASTERS AT ARMS was released last week. Why, on Saturday, he was with one reader in Australia, then had to rush to Indianapolis to be the "top" on a lucky woman's birthday cake, but then had to turn around to be back in Oz by nightfall. The poor man is exhausted! But, because he's still trying to avoid Karla, he welcome the diversion.

So, what do you think of Karla's new stage outfit at the club? Master Adam has gotten her to change out of her Maid Marion outfits!

Now, at last, here's my Six Sentence snippet, from near the beginning of Chapter One of NOBODY'S ANGEL. This is told from Dungeon Monitor Supervisor Master Marc's perspective, as he glances over at Adam whose gaze is locked on Karla up on the stage, singing an ethereal Goth song.

Damn. The look of intense longing on his friend’s face bordered on pain. If Adam wanted her so badly, why didn’t he just go after her? Marc knew they shared some kind of history together, but Adam was doing his damnedest to treat her like a daughter. Hell, the looks Karla gave him were anything but those of a daughter's. Not that Adam noticed—when he allowed himself to get anywhere near her, that is.

And here is a continuation of the MASTERS AT ARMS scene from last week's Six Sentence Sunday, for all of you who wondered how Master Marc would handle his unwelcome visitor from his past. I like his idea of torture, though. (Don't bother to count--I know there are more than six. But it's so short and I want to avoid a setup.)

     “Twice you have addressed me as Marco without using my proper title. You owe me two more orgasms.” They’d negotiated orgasm torture before, but broke up before they’d tried it. “I. Said. Come. Again.” He ground the words out against her ear. With her body restrained under his, he stroked her clit harder, faster. She couldn’t escape the pressure he applied. She was trapped.

     Just as he was.

     Trapped.

Six-Sentence Sunday: Ah, Shit. Not again (MASTERS AT ARMS)

Here's a new scene recently added to MASTERS AT ARMS that gives us a glimpse at what tore Master Marc (then Master Marco) and his brother apart just before Gino left home and was killed in Afghanistan.

Marc has just opened his apartment door to find his college girlfriend and the woman he almost asked to marry him kneeling on the welcome mat.

Ah, shit. Not again.

“I’ve been very bad, Master Marco.”

Melissa raised her head to look at him and smiled. She wore a very low-cut blouse, her breasts spilling from the gaping vee. Two years ago, he’d have dragged her inside, stripped her, and had her ass reddened within ten minutes.

That was before he’d found her in bed with his brother, Gino.
