Six Sunday: "The lie"! (Nobody's Angel)

I've been working on scenes with Marc D'Alessio and Angelina Giardano for Nobody's Perfect, book four in my Rescue Me series (due out in mid May). I'm not going to reveal those scenes for a while, though. Suffice it to say, the couple from book two in the series (Nobody's Angel) will be working on the issues that are keeping them from making that lifetime commitment to each other.

While I left them happy for now at the end of their romance, as sometimes happens in real life, circumstances can derail a couple from working on the issues they need to. Their focus can get diverted to more pressing matters (which is what happened at the end of Angel). And, because i don't write fantasy Doms--and anyone in the lifestyle can tell you sometimes Doms and subs don't do the right thing. They're human. They make mistakes.

But we saw in Nobody's Hero that Angelina is still bothered by "the lie" and, in Nobody's Perfect, her already-shaken trust will be tested as Marc's past explodes in his face and he has to determine who he is and what he wants to do about his future with Angelina.

In this scene, Angelina is in the kitchen the morning after discovering Marc had been lying to her--wearing a mask to hide who he was. She's talking with Adam, while Marc is out climbing one of Colorado's 14,000-foot mountains with some corporate execs on one of his expeditions.

"But I've known Marc as a friend for seven years and I can tell you lying isn't in his character. He's an honorable man. Stubborn, arrogant, and domineering, too."

"I hadn't noticed," she said, hoping her voice dripped with the sarcasm she intended. "And why didn't he come over here and explain himself last night?"

"Marc will climb a Fourteener to avoid confrontation."

Six Sunday: Eyes on Me

Here's another Six from the recently released Nobody's Hero (Rescue Me #3), Adam and Karla's romance. Karla has been summoned to Master Adam's office and is kneeling on a mat by his desk, awaiting his orders.

“Strip.”

She was still wearing his terrycloth robe, because, oddly enough, her Master’s scent in the fabric had given her some much-needed courage. But she slipped it off her shoulders and let it puddle around her knees and legs at his command.

“If I don’t want you to look at me, I’ll blindfold you. Eyes on me.”

Ka-thunk.

Six Sunday: Master Marc Tells About Going OFP

This is an excerpt from my recent release, Nobody's Angel, where Master Adam has finally gotten Master Marc where he wants him and is trying to get some answers from the emotionally blocked Master Marc.

The Grant mentioned is a fellow Marine and now Mistress Grant, a Domme at the Masters at Arms Club. (Her book will be Nobody's Home, number six in the Rescue Me series, and due out by September/October of next year. That'll be my first FemDom book--and her alpha malesub is going to be the perfect match for her. They served together in a Black Ops organization of some type for several years after Grant's and his regular stints in the service ended.)

In this scene, Master Adam is reading Master Marc the riot act for lying to Angelina (a no-no for good Doms). Adam's also grilling Marc on why he's been so messed up lately and Marc's unloading all kinds of things, including a time in his past when he went OFP with a woman in a BDSM scene. (OFP is a Marine term meaning Own Fucking Plan, where you don't follow the set plan or mission but do what you want. In this context, it's the result of not renegotiating a scene, even though he hadn't been with the woman for a couple of years. He's remembering the scene in Masters at Arms where the gold digger Melissa shows up on his doormat and the resulting orgasm torture scene I shared in this blog a couple months ago.)

We're in Marc's point-of-view, but Adam is speaking first.

"Doesn't sound as harsh as the punishment I'd have given her for that stunt at Gino's funeral, but I find most subs aren't traumatized by a good paddling or a little orgasm torture—once it's over anyway."

Marc remembered a demonstration in the club's medical room where Adam and Grant had shown the technique to a younger Dom who wanted to try orgasm torture on his sub. Grant, who had served with Marc's Marine recon unit, wouldn't bottom for anyone but her former top sergeant, Adam. But if she hadn't been restrained so securely on that table, Adam could have kissed goodbye the ability to ever obtain an erection again, because she'd have delivered a well-placed kick to his cock and balls—somewhere after about the fifth orgasm in ten or fifteen minutes.

He realized Adam was waiting for him to continue. "I went OFP that night."

Six Sunday: Apologize to the Lady (NOBODY'S ANGEL)

For this week's Six Sentence Sunday, I just looked at where I was in the editing of NOBODY'S ANGEL and found this scene. We're in Angelina's point of view at daVinci's neighborhood bar. This is one month after Allen (Sir Asshole, as Master Marc calls him) put her in deep subspace when he ignored her safe word during a flogging scene at the Masters at Arms club.

When her now ex-boyfriend Allen shows up at the bar with his new girlfriend, Angelina enlisted the help of Marc D'Alessio (whom she doesn't recognize him as her rescuer from the club) and his SAR partner, Luke Denton. Tired of trying to get her alone, Allen approaches her table when Luke and Angelina are seated. Marc has just returned to the booth.

She's worried that a fight is going to break out in her friend's bar, what with all the testosterone surrounding her at the moment. Angelina speaks the first line.

“Marc…”
Allen looked down at her. “If I’d known you were into threesomes, Angie…”
She winced, but before she could form a response, Marc’s hand snaked out and grabbed him by the throat.
“You’re going to apologize to the lady, and then you’re going to get your sorry ass back to your date, or I’m going to mess up that face you seem so fond of.” His voice remained calm, but lethal.
